About Us

The Tiburon-Belvedere Firefighters Foundation raises private support for the firefighters of the Tiburon Fire Protection District, the paid and volunteer crews who protect the Town of Tiburon and the Town of Belvedere.

Who We Are

The Foundation is an independent, community-based nonprofit created to strengthen fire and emergency services on the Tiburon Peninsula. We raise funds from residents, businesses, and grants and direct them to equipment, training, and safety programs that the District's operating budget cannot always cover on its own. The Foundation is a separate organization from the Fire District. We exist to support its people and its mission.

Who We Support

The Tiburon Fire Protection District has protected this community since 1941. Its firefighters respond to far more than fires: medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, rescues, hazardous-materials calls, and the wildfire risk that comes with living on steep, grassy hillsides beside San Francisco Bay. The District serves both Tiburon and Belvedere with career and volunteer firefighters. Modern emergency response demands current equipment and constant training, and that is where community support makes the difference.

Why It Matters

The peninsula's beauty comes with real exposure. Narrow roads, open space, dry summers, and a wildland-urban interface put homes and lives at risk during fire season, and every second counts on a medical or rescue call. Private support lets the District add tools, technology, and preparedness programs sooner than public funding alone would allow.

Our Commitment

Every dollar we raise goes toward equipment, training, and community safety. Donations to the Foundation are never used for firefighter salaries or benefits. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and operate under our bylaws, with all disbursements to the District reviewed and approved by the Board.
